The story
Uraz runs The Border Post, the newspaper he has devoted years of his life to. As power in the country gathers in one man’s hands, he begins to doubt that his writing alone can change anything. The bureau he establishes with Svetlana becomes his first step towards building power beyond the newspaper.
Slavia, 1934
Slavia is a fictional republic on the northwestern shore of the Black Sea, between Romania and the Soviet Union. Its cafés are busy and newspapers arrive each morning. But its institutions are losing their independence, and people are growing used to the new order. Uraz believes that saving his country means becoming as powerful as the regime he opposes.
One City, Many Stories
Explore Odesa through the map on Uraz's desk. Investigate stories, manage your team, and navigate a city where every decision can lead to unexpected consequences.

Beyond the newspaper
Svetlana knows the people on the streets. Uraz brings connections from journalism and a bigger plan. The bureau they establish together gradually draws them into illegal dealings and new power relationships. Build an organisation that lets your own team take on work you once depended on others to do. As your power grows, balance the newspaper’s work with the bureau’s interests, and the promises you make with your desire for control.
Let’s talk about Uraz
I’m Kuzey, developing Uraz the Journalist at Balarısı Games. I’m currently working on a prototype of the map-based gameplay. I’d like to meet publishers, developers, and artists interested in the project.
